Laser engraving is a general method of personalizing clear acrylic with names or corporate logos. Basically, it’s the old “hot knife through butter”. A thin, hot laser beam penetrates the surface of the clear, polished acrylic and when the acrylic starts to melt, the result is it “etches” the surface in a frosty, opaque appearance.

Using pliable, colored vinyl is a quick and economical method of personalizing both curved as well as flat areas. Simply select your color of choice (see our color chart here), provide us the logo, monogram or name(s) and once digitized into the computer, the image is then auto-cut and ready for placement. Once in hand, the art is individually positioned, pressed and secured in place.

Since this is an applique or overlay resting upon a surface, the vinyl can be removed by peeling so the limitation is to not hard handle anything with vinyl. Another note is that there are often multi-colored pieces of art or requests for multi-colored designs that can be created in vinyl. Please contact us for those individual requests. Vinyl is perfect for curved surfaces such as acrylic party tubs or other rounded areas and, if the situation changes, vinyl can be peeled back and removed without any harm to the item’s clear, polished finish.

Pad printing is exactly what it sounds like. Your item is placed on a printing table and a pad or roller (color of your choice) places the color onto a pre-cut die that replicates your image, name(s) or artwork over the acrylic. Sometimes a 2-color process is requested wherein the first color (or base coat, as shown below) is printed and left to dry before another coat is printed on top of that. You can print up to a full 4-color process, however, because of the many times that set-up and drying must take place, the manual labor is so restrictive that our final option (DTF) is faster and less expensive. Pad printing does have the unique capability of printing onto contoured and textured surfaces which most other print processes do not have.
